Ingredient Yields

The grilled chicken burger platter recipe makes note of the fact that it calls for two slices of 5X6 tomatoes, drawn from the pantry inventory. When we go into pantry inventory to investigate the calculation for yields factors for this item, we can see that we set up this ingredient  anticipating a yield of 28 slices per pound. 

 

Any ingredient can have multiple yield factors as many as you need or want. Tomatoes could be distributed to recipes in portions of pounds, wedges, quarters or in whatever manner you might want to imagine and they can all apply and all will record the cost and inventory usage as required.
